Located on beautiful Salt Spring Island, we are a boutique recording, editing, and mixing studio. Hear No Evil is owned and operated by Ewan Deane, who has over 30 years in the audio business.

With a cozy studio we are perfectly set up to track and mix your next production. Ideally we are a space for one to three performers. Need something bigger? I have relationships on and off island for full ensemble

tracking.

About Me

Starting in 1988, after graduating from ICA (which became CDIS, then Art Institute), I went to work at Airwaves Sound Design as an assistant engineer. I started there working with the best musicians and composers in Vancouver for jingles and sound tracks. Transitioning to documentaries, feature films, and television, I decided after 15 years and the position of Senior Engineer, to go freelance. Throughout the years I have worked at DBC Sound (ten years there, wow), Sharpe Sound, Post Modern, and The Mix Room. When COVID hit, and a desire for a change in lifestyle and scenery, we decided Salt Spring Island would be our new home.
